Math Olympiad for girls at Central Women’s University

The Bellissimo-CWU MATH OLYMPIAD-2018 was held at the Central Women’s University campus on 27 September, 2018 for the second time. Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Perween Hasan inaugurated the festival. Dr. M. Kaykobad, Professor, BUET was the Chief Guest. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized the event for the girls of college from Dhaka South Zone. This program was sponsored by Bellissimo Ice Cream. Mr. Munir Hasan from Bangladesh Math Olympiad was also present at the inaugural session. The participants were from A.K High School and College, Birshrestha Munshi Abdur Rouf Public College, Central Women’s College, Dhaka Mohanagar Mohila College, Engineering University School and College, Metropolitan School and College, Mirza Abbas Mohila Degree College, Motijheel Model School and College, Raihan School and College, Rokeya Ahasan University College, Sher-e-bangla Balika Mohabidyalya and Siddheswari College.

The Olympiad champion was Meherin Tasfia from Central Women’s College, 1st runner-up was Kamroon Salayheen Trina from Siddheswari College and 2nd runner-up was Jannatul Naiem Mitul from Metropolitan School and College. The prize money was a total of 10000 BDT. 4th to 8th places received the crests. A cultural program and puzzle game were also held during the day-long program.
