Celebrations on March 30, 2017

Central Women’s University Cultural Club observed National Independence Day on March 30, 2017 at the CWU auditorium. The sacrifice and dedication of the martyrs of 1971 liberation war was remembered with patriotic songs sung by the students. An essay competition was also held earlier on “Amar Chokhe, Amar Sadhinota” to commemorate the occasion. In the second part of the program there was a prize giving ceremony of various competitions. Later on students arranged food stalls on the ground floor titled “Pitha Utshab.” They not only celebrated the last month of the Bangla year but also welcomed the new year. Overall the day was full of enjoyment and fun.
