Empowering Youth Season 1.0: Engaging and Inspiring Youth in Banking
On August 13, 2026, Central Women’s University (CWU) hosted “Empowering Youth Season 1.0”, an initiative by Prime Bank PLC in collaboration with CWU and the CWU Business Club, focusing on financial literacy, money management, and career readiness among female students. The event was graced by the presence of the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Chairpersons of different departments, faculty members, and distinguished representatives from Prime Bank PLC.
The programme began with the signing of an MOU between Prime Bank PLC and CWU, strengthening industry-academia collaboration. The event featured inspiring sessions by Ms. Shaila Abedin, Senior Executive Vice President & Head of Liability & Women Banking, and Mr. M M Mahbub Hasan, Senior Vice President & Head of Financial Inclusion & School Banking, covering female leadership, corporate ethics, financial inclusion, and youth empowerment.
The event also featured an interactive Q&A and brainstorming session, concluding with the recognition of the Best Team and Best Questioner.
