Faculty Development Program: Training on AI in Teaching and Research
Central Women's University (CWU) successfully concluded a training on "AI in Teaching and Research" under the Digital Skills to Succeed in Asia (DS2S) Project of GIZ. This two-day long Faculty Development Program held on July 23 and 24, 2026 in the CWU campus. The DS2S project, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), aims to enhance digital skills among young university students, particularly among women, in Bangladesh, India, and Viet Nam to position them for success in the job market and enhance careers in the digital era.
The program was facilitated by distinguished faculty members from three partnering university (AUST, BRUR and CWU) of DS2S project of GIZ. Mr. Kazi Rezwan Hossain from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), Mr. Niaz Makhdum from Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR), and both Mr. Asif Nawaz and Mr. Muktadir Billah Munim from Central Women's University (CWU) conducted their sessions among the participants. 30 faculty members from different departments of CWU participated in the training program.
The sessions featured insightful discussions, practical demonstrations, and experience-sharing on the effective and responsible integration of Artificial Intelligence into higher education, especially in teaching and research. The interactive environment encouraged participants to exchange ideas, reflect on emerging challenges, and explore new possibilities in tertiary education.
