Seminar on "Compact Township and Cooperative Development"

Dr. Salim Rashid, Emeritus Professor of economics, University of Illinois, spoke on the possibility and implementation of "Compact Township" in Bangladesh at the Central Women’s University. The seminar on "Compact Township and Cooperative Development" was held at the university auditorium on Wednesday afternoon. The seminar was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Perween Hasan.
In the seminar, Dr. Salim explained the development strategy through Compact Township. He also highlighted ways to implement the township. He urged people to join such kind of project for their own well being.
Kazi Zahedul Hasan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Mr. Elias Ahmed, Registrar, Dr. M. Mufakharul Islam, Treasurer of Central Women’s University were also present at the seminar.
Maleka Begum, Chairperson, Department of Sociology and Gender Studies, Mr. Hasan Shirazi, Chairperson, Department of Business Administration, Mst. Shahnaj Parvin, Chairperson, Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Mr. Sajeeb Sarker, Chairperson, Department of Journalism and Media Studies along with faculty members of the University, distinguished guests and, students were present in the program.
